    Cabbage Egg Yum

    Breakfast, lunch, or dinner: I named this cabbage and egg based mixture for looking and tasting a bit like the Americanized Chinese Food dish "Egg Foo Yung". But it has some key differences.

    Cabbage Foo Egg is healthy, affordable, quick, and easy. It's similar to an omelette but the soy sauce and cabbage help it transcend hours of the day. Make it once and it'll become one of your go to meals, especially for folks cooking for one.

    • 2 - Eggs, beaten
    • 1 Cup - Cabbage, sliced
    • 2 Teaspoons - Soy Sauce
    • 1 Teaspoon - Olive Oil


    • Pour olive oil in pan or skillet over medium to medium heat, swirling the pan until the oil spreads across it's surface.
    • Place cabbage in the pan and cook it for 3-4 minutes. Spread out and stir often until cabbage shows signs of turning brown.
    • Add Soy Sauce and stir cabbage until it's evenly dispersed
    • Evenly spread the cabbage, just thin enough so you cannot see the bottom of the pan, organized as one
    • After egg takes solid shape, flip it several times, cooking evenly. Don't worry about keeping it in one big piece, but try to keep it in a few larger pieces.
    • Once egg is fully cooked, slide it onto a plate and serve or eat immediately!

    Additional Notes & Special Instructions:

    Tossing in more cabbage doesn't hurt and obviously you can add other ingredients to taste. Salt, pepper, hot sauce, etc... but much of the beauty is in the simplicity, both taste and preparation.
