Here is a related article on the beer popsicle fad. This, too mentions the same website mamagia referred to. I think I'd be tempted to at least give it a try if I saw it on a menu

I don't understand how they could make anything frozen out of beer. I thought the alcohol would keep it from freezing.

Beer doesn't contain enough alcohol to keep from freezing. I learned that in college when my friends and I forgot about beer we had stashed in the freezer...the cans exploded! Only things that contain higher percentages of alcohol, like liquors, won't freeze.
