Try a beef tri-tip roast Although this is not necessarily my favorite meat, but certainly worth mentioning. Generally about 2-2 1/2 lbs, this is the bottom portion of the sirloin. It is a lean cut and inexpensive. This roast seems to be more popular on the West coast..........why is that?
