Sorcery Bread

2 cups sifted flour(Swan Down what I used)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking power
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup black walnuts
1 egg, beaten
1 cup apple sauce

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Mix all ingredients together, stirring just enough to moisten
3.Pour into greased and floured 9 x 5 inch baking pan.
4.Bake for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean when inserted in center.
5.Allow to cool for 10-15 minutes before removing from pan.

*Makes 1 loaf.

That sounds really good. I'll have to try them. But, I have to ask why it's called Sorcery Bread? Does it put a spell on you to make you want to keep eating it?

Well, it sounds great. I'm going to try to make some, if I have all the ingredients. I might have to do some searching for the story behind the name. I love to know why things are called what they are.

I have never heard of this, but it does sound good. I will have to try this. It sounds like something that my husband would like.
