1 batch or box of your favorite tempura batter - prepared & ice cold
2 - 4 avocados depending on how many people are going to help you eat these.
1 tube wasabi paste (or more depending on taste)
lime juice to prevent browning
oil for deep frying heated to 375f
Peel avocados and cut into 1" chunks. Sprinkle with lime juice if preping ahead.
Squirt wasabi paste onto each avocado chunk to taste.
Using 2 forks carefully dip each chunk into batter and drop into oil. Cook until just golden and drain on paper towels.
I'm a huge avocado fan, but tire of having them plain, so this is a great recipe for me! Even better is the fact that it also uses wasabi...I love the spicyness!
